Privacy
What Momentum Terminal collects, why, who handles it, how long it is kept, and how to have it deleted. It covers the landing page, the waitlist and accounts in the closed beta.
What is collected
When you join the waitlist: your email address, the time you joined, which form you used, any campaign parameters in the link you arrived by (utm_source and the like), the page that referred you, if your browser sent one, and the referral link you arrived by, if there was one.
When you visit the landing page: an anonymous page-view event with a random session id that is not tied to you, the referring site, and the campaign parameters above. No name, no account, no third-party trackers, no analytics scripts.
When you accept an invitation: your email address, the username and display name you choose, the date you joined, who invited you and when, and a record that you confirmed you are 18 or older and accepted the beta Terms and this notice, with the version of each and the time.
When you use the app: your paper trades, positions and paper balance, your forecasts, the people you follow, your email preference, a photo if you upload one, and a record of what you open and tap in the app, tied to your account.
When you place a paper trade: a one-way hash of your network address and browser, used only to spot one person trading from several accounts. The address itself is not stored.
Why
To run the beta: to send your invitation and sign-in links, to show you your portfolio and forecasts, to keep the paper market fair, and to learn how the product is used so it can be improved.
Your data is not sold, rented or shared for advertising. Beyond invitations and sign-in links, nothing is emailed to you unless you turn on email updates in your profile.
Who handles it
Supabase stores the database and runs sign-in. Vercel hosts the site. Resend delivers the emails. If you choose to continue with Google, Google confirms your address. Each handles the data only to provide that service.
How long
A waitlist entry: until the beta invites are done, or until you ask for it to go, whichever comes first.
An account: for as long as you keep it. Database backups are kept for seven days, so anything deleted is gone from the backups within seven days.
Deletion
To delete an account, email privacy@momentumterminal.app from its address.
What is deleted: your email address, username, display name and photo, the people you follow, the record of what you opened and tapped, the network hash on your trades, your waitlist entry and invitation details, and your sign-in.
What is kept, without your name: your paper trades, the paper ledger and your forecasts stay under an anonymous “Deleted account” with no link back to you, so the market’s history and every other member’s balance still add up. So do the consent record (versions and times only) and any review of trading on the account.
To have only a waitlist entry removed, email privacy@momentumterminal.app from the address you signed up with, and the row is deleted. Nothing else is needed.
